it's all about the 'family'

I must admit I haven't been doing much designing lately, even though there is not a lack of ideas in my head. I have spent my time adjusting to our new area, painting (I have a lot more to do), scouts, chauffeuring my children to and from school, organizing - everything but designing.
I have managed to do a little scrapbooking and I did manage to make this 'family' frame.

You can add a touch of cozy to your home with this 10" x 20" home decor project or you can personalize it with your name!

hi from houston!

We made it - we survived the big move. We're still unpacking and trying to tame the mess. Look at this beautiful spider we found on our back fence. I'm sure I would not think it was so beautiful if I found it in the house.

giant moving sale

July 8th is the final day of our giant moving sale. Everything here will be packed and moved July 10th. We will arrive in Houston July 17th (if all goes as planned). We wish you all a safe and happy 4th of July! God Bless America!

on the move

With our e-mails about moving you're probably wondering where we're moving to. Well....we're moving to Houston, Texas. This is a huge change, opportunity, adventure, and move for us.

valentine's

It's Valentine week at our house!
I made a woven heart basket for my husband and each of our children to hang on their doorknobs. Each day I will give them a small treat or a special note.
So far my children have loved the chocolates. And I know my husband will not object to receiving a few little love notes.

time flies

This is my third attempt to post a few words. I first tried at the beginning of the month, then again a week later and wow here we are now, the month has almost flown by. Thinking back on 2008 I feel the same way, the year has flown by. I realize that setting goals has never been more important to me than at this time. I don't want the time to just fly by. I want to be the super fun mom I always wanted to be, not just the busy mom with so much to do.
A couple of my children's friends invited them to go skiing with them during Christmas break and I realized that they barely know how to ski and snowboard. We live very close to 7 ski resorts and never seem to make the time to go (shame on me). So new years resolution #1 is to take the family skiing at least once a year.
Here is a beautiful picture of Deer Valley Ski Resort.
